She offers a faith-based ceremony for those who do not have a church home or are planning a destination wedding in Connecticut and identify themselves as a Christian.
Since it is your marriage, she invites you to take part in planning your wedding ceremony. You may choose the songs and readings. The format used will be from the Book of Common Prayer.
|
Prior to your wedding rehearsal, you will meet at least three times. The purpose of the meetings is to get aquatinted, get copies of your identification, and plan the ceremony. She also encourages you to raise any issues you wish regarding your relationship, your faith in God and your future together as a married couple.
Wedding ceremony fee varies. There is an additional fee if travel required exceeds 30 miles. This fee includes up to 3 meetings, one of which will be a required counseling session with the couple. It also includes the wedding rehearsal, the wedding, and blessing the food at the reception (the blessing is optional). If a blessing at the reception is requested, than a meal must be provided. A non-refundable deposit is due at the first meeting. This deposit confirms the agreement and reserves the time and date of your ceremony. The remainder of the fee, along with your Marriage License is due 7 days prior to the Wedding Ceremony. Your marriage license will be registered with the town selected in the State of Connecticut. It is the couple’s responsibility to obtain the certified license from the town.

Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;
for love is strong as death,
passion fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
a raging flame.
Many waters cannot quench love,
neither can floods drown it.
If one offered for love,
all the wealth of his house,
it would be utterly scorned.
~ Song of Songs 8:6-7
